There is nothing in the RAW that says you CAN'T use spellcraft to identify divine spells if you are an arcane caster and vice versa. Magic is assumed to be universal. In a campaign I played awhile...

yea sounds fair, its not like you never saw a divine spell in your life, its just that you cant cast them, you should be able to identify them with a little penalty

You don't even have to be a caster in the first place, so being capable of casting spells shouldn't make you worse than a non-caster bumpkin at identifying them.Neutronium Dragon
